The Scope and Sequence allows for the acquistion of technology knowledge and skills essential to our students' ability to contribute and function in the 21st century. Within the document, skills are either introduced, reinforced, or independently used at the grade levels. But what does that mean? What does that look like?

Students are exposed to the skills potentially for the first time. Repeated modeling by the teacher and direct instruction will be needed for students to learn the skill.

An explanation of how the skill is used, why it is used, when it is appropriate and/or needed should be a part of the introduction phase. Students will be given time to immediately practice and apply the new skills in a content-related activity aligned to local and state standards.

Practice with the skill(s) will be ongoing throughout the school year.
